Deaddiction Treatment in mainly divided in 3 Steps:

DE-TOXIFICATION ( रक्तातून दारू बाहेर काढणे)

In patient of Chronic alcohol addiction when he suddenly stops consuming alchol his body responds and shows withdrawal symptoms such as decreased sleep, tremors , hallucinations , withdrawal seizure etc. The intensity of withdrawal depends on various parameters such as age of patients, type of alcohol he consumes, duration of addiction etc. It is sole clinical judgment of treating doctor in anticipating intensity of withdrawal in each patient. Treament given to deal with withdrawal symptoms is called De-toxification)

(Note: Withdrawal in Nicotine addiction is 12 weeks and it differs in other addictions also and so also the withdrawal features)

DE-ADDICTION (व्यसनमुक्ती)

The real treatment for deaddiction is started after detoxification when patient is Medically stable. It includes use various psychotherapies(Counselling) along with medications.

Counselling:

  1.   Individual  Counselling
  2.   Group Counselling
  3.   Family Counselling  
  4.   Various Research based innovative therapies like Yoga,hypnotherapy ,Laughfter therapy,Music therapy,art therapy,work therapy  etc

 

 Pharmacotherapy:

  1. Various anticraving medicines are used to keep patient away from addiction.

REHABILITATION(पुनर्वसन)

During Addiction phase patients Social Relations & Economic activity is badly hampered.

In Rehabilitation they are socially reintegrated with their family and friend by using family therapy. During treatment period they are taught various skills which can help them to restart their Occupational life again. Thus, they are socially and Occupationally rehabilitated.
